Well, on the theme of 'things that happened months ago,' I wanted to write about my dear Bright who came to visit me for Thanksgiving. It was awesome! Not only did we go from two confused people who clearly liked each other and talked every day but had only hung out a handful of times in person to official BOYFRIEND/GIRLFRIEND (big deal guys), I also got to explore new parts of this crazy city while holding hands with a super handsome man. Wins all around.
Here are some highlights (and also all the pictures that I love but didn't put on facebook because Bright likes his privacy and I like him so I gotta respect that 😇).

| Bright took a red eye flight to get to New York so he was pretty exhausted when he got here and just napped on our air mattress in the living room |

He also had to do some homework.
(But first he helped me set up my new phone which came in the mail and that is why this picture has a weird filter on it-couldn't help messing around).

Once he had FINALLY finished his homework, we went out to Shake Shack and then ice skating in Central Park

It was awesome and also Bright started revealing his silly side REAL fast. This was us trying to look...seductive? I'm not sure!

Here is us being normal. Sometimes, I'm really bad at judging my own emotions but then I look back at pictures and think -yep, I didn't imagine it. I was/am REALLY happy with this guy.

The next day we took the train for over an hour to CONEY ISLAND!
We did this for a couple reasons- 1.) Bright had never been to a beach before! 2.) Our favorite TV show Mr. Robot has lots of scenes on Coney Island |

| I've never been to Coney Island in the summer but I quite liked it in November. It was chilly but deserted and had a rustic feel to it |

After that we went to the New York Aquarium which is just a bit further down the beach.

| It was a good little zoo! I took this picture of the penguin keepers because it made me think of my sister Laura who was a penguin keeper for several years! |

| We decided we definitely have to come back here when all these famous rides are open! |

| After that, like the nerds we are, we went in to Chinatown to find Elliot's (from Mr Robot) Apartment. |

| THEN we had to go to Times Square to finish off the Mr. Robot tour. |

Later (Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, I can't remember) we went to Bryant Park where they had a christmas market. That was super fun. There were lots of little food and crafts booths as well as a free facebook virtual reality trial. Pretty awesome.

Then we went and saw the Rockette's Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall!

| One of the other days, I took Bright into Harlem for some soul food |
 |
| No trip to New York would be complete of course without seeing the Statue of Liberty. We just took the Staten Island Ferry to save money but if I could do it again we would spend the cash and go to the island itself |

| After that we meandered around the financial district-he's my Wall Street Bro. |
 |
| This was encouraging- I love that someone used sidewalk chalk to write that on wall street! |

| This Bull also features in Mr. Robot. Apparently, it's a thing to grab the bull's balls and take a picture with it. We abstained and took this instead |

| We grabbed some Panera bread (because Bright had never before experienced the wonder that is Bread Co) before heading in for a quick tour of the Met |

| Sadly, the next day was Thanksgiving and Bright had to leave. After eating some pumpkin ice cream with chocolate sprinkles for breakfast (we classy that way), we went to some friends' place for a Thanksgiving meal. It was really fun and then Bright and I peaced out to get him to JFK airport |
...And that's the story of how I ended up in a long distance relationship!
